Neala Farm, L.L.C. is a Registered Angus cattle operation located on 600 acres of leased and owned land in Madison County, Virginia. We are certified by the state of Virginia as being free from brucellosis, tuberculosis and bovine virus diarrhea (BVD). Our animals graze on 384 acres of pasture nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. They also receive an all-natural, hormone free customized grain blend and high-moisture hay which is harvested from the farm.
Our cows are synchronized and artificially inseminated, using proven Registered Angus sires. Afterwards, the cows are divided into breeding groups for natural service. We strive to provide high quality Registered Angus cattle to serve the needs of the cattle industry and consumers. Each fall, we sell bulls and replacement heifers at cattle sales in Virginia, and in 2008, we have begun selling humanely raised, all-natural, hormone-free beef to consumers.
David Rogers handles the daily operations of the farm, utilizing seasonal labor during hay production and breeding. David's wife, Malaika, manages the farm office, and their eight-year-old daughter, Lexie, takes full advantage of life on the farm.
